Our Story

The Airlie Arms reopened in May 2015 having been bought over and refurbished by the Ewart family. This is the family's first venture into the hospitality industry although they are well known for their involvement in the local community. They also own Kirriemuir's only filling station with car sales, servicing and repair facilities.

Although most members of the family lend a hand at the hotel, the daily management is down to sisters, Dilys and Nicola who look after a team of around twenty staff. Dilys was first to use the reopened function hall when she was married to Greig in September 2015 and became Mrs Robertson. Dilys has a degree in food and consumer science. She has worked in the hospitality sector since leaving high school.
Nicola graduated from Abertay University with a degree in marketing and business. She worked as a volunteer in South Africa for a year between school and university gaining experience in working within a small team.

The family are proud to offer a warm welcome to visitors from far and near. Their aim is to ensure that clients will return time and time again.
